The most versatile collar style. The spread angle works equally well with or without a tie, suits most face shapes, and is appropriate across business formal and smart casual occasions. A wider spread accommodates larger tie knots such as the Windsor or Half Windsor.
An extreme spread where the collar points angle outward almost horizontally. Very contemporary in appearance, best worn with a full Windsor knot. Popular in Italian suiting culture and increasingly common in Hong Kong bespoke commissions.
The collar points fasten to the shirt front with small buttons. Originally designed for polo players, the button-down is now a smart-casual staple. Works best without a tie and suits Oxford and end-on-end fabrics particularly well.
A small fabric tab clips behind the tie knot to lift and centre it, creating a very neat, elevated appearance under a suit. Classic and understated — a favourite in traditional British tailoring.
Similar to the tab collar but fastened with a metal pin or bar through eyelet holes on either side. Adds a vintage, distinctive detail that suits formal and business formal contexts.
